ADEMA Vocalist Quits, Band To Hold Singer Auditions

Vocalist Mark Chavez has left ADEMA, according to the group's videographer Brad Nolan. The rest of the band are currently holding vocalist auditions in California and are said to be filming the entire process for a reality-TV show.

As a result of Mark's departure, ADEMA have been forced to drop off their previously announced U.S. tour with DOPE, TWISTED METHOD and MOTOGRATER.

Released in August 2003, ADEMA's second full-length effort, "Unstable", has shifted less than 113,899 copies in the U.S. so far, according to Nielsen SoundScan — substantially less than the 671,763 units registered by its predecessor, 2001's "Adema". The band's 2002 EP offering, "Insomniac's Dream", has sold 54,788 copies to date.

ADEMA are currently at work on their next album, entitled "Four Closure", tentatively due in January 2005 via Earache Records.
